If you have a police station and a prison, you can put people in jail. Then, there’s the part when your inhabitants don’t actually do their job. It’s understandable, but the most that they actually do is provide a few jobs at best. Mostly when it comes to building to serve an idea, like how churches raise the religious happiness, or how media(papers, radio, tv) raises liberty. This is a very general topic, but once you were to see these things ion motion, you would understand.įirst, a lot of the time, certain buildings don’t feel like they do anything. (Side note, I was able to pass the mission, when I got a sizable money chunk from a foreign leader.) Moral of the story, the only kind of stress in this game is high stress. Then, each harbor takes time to build(which you don’t have), unless you decide to quick build each harbor(basically costs you double), then your mines are completely depleted, which means you are at a loss of cash, then you can’t build anything, then you become a sitting duck and just wait to lose. For example, one mission (spoilers omitted) needs you to build 10 harbors so you can escape the island, except that you have a time limit to leave, or else you lose the mission. When you find yourself at a part when missions start to get tough, it’s curious to see all other factors contribute to that toughness. It’s a little touch of flavor that makes it more than just “Build City”.Ī bit of a confusing title, but let me explain. The key here is that each little dialog has a great sense of humor and sense of parody of real life figures. In between the main story missions, you deal with all of your advisers, each representing a faction on your island.
TROPICO 4 CONTROLS XBOX 360 FULL
What’s nice about Tropico 4 is that you get a full fledged story of El Presidente, with his uprising, fall, and return to power. With most city building games, the most of a story you get is “History is up to you!” or some crap like that. You can base your island off of food, industry, or tourism(which, at about halfway through the main campaign, really hasn’t been mentioned that much.) It’s a great way to continue gameplay through multiple missions and scenarios. One of the most important factors is to keep your economy going, which is easy to do, considering how many ways there are to earn money.

It starts off small(build a police station, have 3 factories) that eventually lead to improving the factors of the island, things like entertainment, religious satisfaction, army size. Once you get past the tutorial missions, teaching the economics of farming, building buildings, etc., the main campaign starts with you building your nation. Nevertheless, I will attempt to keep within the game’s merits and not say “I’d rather be playing Peggle.” Which would be a great t-shirt line. So, the review is a bit tougher, with no real comparative titles to go against, except for maybe Civilization Revolution. To compare it to either a Call of Duty or Assassin’s Creed or games of those natures would be unfair, since the gameplays are worlds apart.

All console games have to have either explosions of boobs(or both, they aren’t mutually exclusive) for them to even be considered a playable title. A small caveat I should mention, this game is a little hard to compare to other games, especially on the 360.
